Subfloor prep is where flooring jobs are won or lost. We check moisture, flatten what needs flattening and only then lay the floor — which is why our work still looks right three years later.

How much does hardwood floor refinishing cost in Chicago?
Sand and refinish starts at $3 per square foot. New hardwood installation starts at $10 per square foot including materials. Every job gets a free on-site measure and an exact written price before any work begins.
How long does refinishing take?
Most homes are sanded and finished in two to four days depending on square footage, stain colour and the number of polyurethane coats. We give you an exact schedule at the on-site measure.
Do you move furniture?
Yes. We clear the rooms, protect the rest of the home, and put everything back once the finish has cured.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. FloorCraft Hardwood Flooring is a registered Illinois LLC and carries general liability coverage. A certificate of insurance naming your building or management company is available on request.
